Under Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (NSNP), prospective immigrants who have the skills and experience may be selected by Nova Scotia for nomination. Nova Scotia Provincial Nominationselection speeds up the overall immigration process.The Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (NSPNP) is comprised of five streams:
Nova Scotia Skilled Worker;
Nova Scotia Demand Express Entry ;
Nova Scotia Experience Express Entry;
Nova Scotia Entrepreneur;
International Graduate Stream;
SKILLED WORKER STREAM
Skilled Worker Stream is for skilled workers, professionals or managers who have a full-time, permanent job offer from a Nova Scotia employer. To apply under the NSNP Skilled Workers Category, candidate must:
Must have a permanent, full-time employment offer in Nova Scotia from an established Nova Scotia business;
Must meet the minimum criteria for age, education, work experience, and language proficiency requirements for this stream; and
Must have the qualifications, training or transferable skills, work experience, and licensing or accreditation required for the job or a suitable plan to obtain the required qualifications.

INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE STREAM
The International Graduate stream supports employers to hire and retain recent international graduates whose skills may be rare in the province. This stream aims international graduates who have established strong ties to Nova Scotia and have intention to live, work, and establish their careers in this province. Under this stream, International Graduate must have a guaranteed, full-time, permanent job offer in his/her field of study from a Nova Scotia employer before application submission to the NSNP.
To be eligible to apply to this stream, the International Graduate:
Must have graduated within the last two years from a program of at least one academic year of full-time study in Nova Scotia;
Must have legal status in Canada on a temporary work permit
Must have a permanent, full-time job offer from an employer in Nova Scotia in his/her field of study and at an acceptable level and have been working for at least three months in this position;
Evidence of sufficient settlement supports;
Must meet the minimum criteria for age, education, work experience, and language ability requirements.
NOVA SCOTIA ENTREPRENEUR
The Entrepreneur Stream is for experienced business owners or senior business managers who are interested to live in Nova Scotia. Under this stream, candidateneeds to start a new business or buy an existing business and must actively participate in the day-to-day management of the business. After operating the business for a year, the entrepreneur may be nominated for permanent resident status. Application to this stream is by invitation only.
Candidates under this stream must meet the following criteria:
Must be 21 years of age or older;
Having intention to live permanently in Nova Scotia while owning and actively managing a Nova Scotia business;
Must have a net worth of at least $600,000 CAD;
Must be able to invest at least $150,000 CAD of your own money to establish a business in Nova Scotia;
Needs at least 3 years' experience actively managing and owning a business (1/3 ownership minimum) OR more than 5 years' experience in a senior business management role;
Requires a score of at least 5 on the Canadian Language Benchmark in speaking, listening, reading and writing in English or French;
Complete an online Expression of Interest;
Receive an Invitation to Apply from the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration.
NOVA SCOTIA EXPERIENCE EXPRESS ENTRY STREAM
The Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry stream selects highly skilled individuals who intend to live in Nova Scotia permanently. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience working in Nova Scotia in a high skilled occupation.
Candidates under this category must meet the following criteria:
Have at least one year of work experience in Nova Scotia;
Age must be between 21 to 55 years;
Must have a Canadian high school credential or equivalent;
Evidence of language ability in English or French on the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB). Candidates need CLB 7 for skilled work in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 0 and A. Candidates need CLB 5 for NOC B positions;
Must have a profile registration in Citizenship and Immigration Canada's Express Entry.
NOVA SCOTIA DEMAND EXPRESS ENTRY STREAM
This DEMAND EXPRESS ENTRY STREAMenables the province to nominate qualified candidates for admission to Canada under the federal Express Entry immigration system, without a sponsoring employer. The province nominates qualified applicants from the federal Express Entry pool.
This Express Entry stream is targeted at selecting applicants who have the education, experience, language proficiency and adaptability to successfully establish in Nova Scotia and contribute to the province's development. Province nomination is based on a points system, where applicants receive consideration under the following factors:
Education and Training;
Work Experience;
Language Ability;
Age;
Connections to Nova Scotia, including family, job offer, work or study experience in the province.
Candidates must score a minimum of 67 out of a possible 100 points under the above mentioned selection factors to be considered for nomination. In addition to it, candidates must meet the following mandatory criteria:
Must have a minimum of one year of work experience in the past five years which must be related to an occupation appearing on the Nova Scotia Opportunity Occupations list;
Must have a minimum of one year of work experience in the past five years in their intended occupation in an occupation classified as Skill level 0, A, B of the National Occupational Classification (NOC);
Evidence of minimum language proficiency of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7, or higher if required by employers or regulatory bodies;
Must demonstrate sufficient settlement funds if applying without an approved job offer.
