NEW BRUNSWICK PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM (NBPNP)
New Brunswick is a bilingual province in Canada, with about 30 percent of the population speaking French as a first language. This NBPNP program made possible through an agreement with the Government of Canada. As an economic this program selects, and nominates, qualified business people and skilled workers from around the world who will live in New Brunswick and contribute to the local economy.
Potential applicants are asked to complete an expression of interest and submit it to the NBPNP. Candidates must include your language test scores, Educational Credential Assessment result, and work experience in their expression of interest. The highest ranked candidates may get an invitation to apply to NBPNP Express Entry Labor Market Stream. After receiving provincial nominations, Citizenship and Immigration Canada will then invite top ranking candidates to apply for permanent residence.Applications are reviewed based on eligibility requirements and selection factors. Candidates must meet eligibility requirements. Candidate should also be aware that meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee nomination. The candidateshaving greatest potential to become economically established in New Brunswick are generally invited.
The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) consists four streams:
Express Entry Applicants;
Skilled Worker Applicants with Family Support;
Skilled Worker Applicants with Employer Support;
Business Applicants;
EXPRESS ENTRY APPLICANTS
To submit an application under this category, Candidates must have following requirements:
A minimum of 67 points are required out of 100 points in following selection factors:
First Official Language(English Or French): 24 points
Second Official Language(English Or French): 4 points
Education: 25 points
Age: 12 points
Experience: 15 points
Arranged Employment: 10 points
Adaptability: 10 points
Must have sufficient funds to settle in New Brunswick;
Be willing to sign an agreement to settle permanently in New Brunswick.
SKILLED WORKER APPLICANTS WITH FAMILY SUPPORT
To be eligible under this category, Candidates must have following requirements:
Must have a close relative in who lives in New Brunswick;
Must have at least 2 years of continuous work experience in intended occupation in New Brunswick;
Must have the educational requirements needed to fulfill job duties in intended occupation;
Must have sufficient funds to settle in New Brunswick;
Be willing to sign an agreement to settle permanently in New Brunswick.
The close relative in Canada must:
Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
Must be operating a business in New Brunswick or been employed in New Brunswick for at least 12 consecutive months;
Must be financially self-supporting.
SKILLED WORKER APPLICANTS WITH EMPLOYER SUPPORT
To submit an application under this stream, Candidates must:
Must have a New Brunswick employment offer from an employer based in New Brunswick - Employers must demonstrate that they are having difficulty finding these skills in the local job market;
Must have at least 50 points on a self-assessment grid (Factors are age, education, business experience, language ability, and adaptability);
Be willing to sign an agreement to settle permanently in New Brunswick.
BUSINESS APPLICANTS
To be eligible under this category, Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
Must have relevant and proven management experience in 3 of the last 5 years;
Requires sufficient funds to finance the first phase of a planned business venture without third party assistance and to support their family for a period of up to 2 years;
Must have a personal net worth of at least 300,000 Canadian dollars;
Must have an approved business plan or business proposal;
Participation in the business in an active managerial role;
Must have an understanding of the business environment in New Brunswick and Complete an exploratory visit to New Brunswick;
Must have at least 50 points on a self-assessment grid (Factors are age, education, business experience, language ability, and adaptability);
Must be willing to sign an agreement to settle permanently in New Brunswick;
Must make a CDN $75,000.00 conditionally refundable deposit prior to nomination.
