Quebec Self-Employed Persons Program
The Quebec Self-Employed Persons Program invites applicants who have the intention and ability to become self-employed in Canada. Self-employed persons are required to have relevant experience in a trade or profession for their own account. The applicant must:
Intent to reside and create own job in Quebec
have net assets of at least C$100,000 that have been legally obtained
2 Years of experience in the last 5 in the profession to conduct in Quebec
Have sufficient settlement funding to support themselves and their family;
Will come to Québec to create employment for the applicant by practicing a profession defined in the National Occupational Classification. Prospective applicants must also meet applicable occupational entry or licensing requirements.
No specific educational requirement
To qualify for a Quebec Selection Certificate, self-employed applicants must score enough points under the Quebec Immigration selection system below. A single applicant must score at least 38 points based on the point system criteria below. An applicant with a spouse or common-law/conjugal partner must score at least 45 points. Additional points can be awarded for adaptability and financial resources. With these points awarded, a single applicant must score a minimum of 44 points. An applicant with a spouse or common-law/conjugal partner must score at least 51 points out of a possible 93 points at selection.
